health and safety training Canadian Health and Safety Training Ltd will provide educational and employment opportunities in the field of emergency medicine to Aboriginals throughout Alberta.

This extraordinary initiative is set to begin immediately and has been approved by Mr. George Stanley, AFN Regional Chief of Alberta. The goal of this unique initiative is to provide training and prepare Aboriginals from all over Alberta for immediate employment within the Petroleum, Construction and other industries.

Opportunities also exist to work as trainers and teachers for health care courses, as well as the opportunity to work on an ambulance for any EMS Service in Alberta.

CHST is committed to providing educational and employment opportunities in the field of emergency medicine and safety programs to Alberta Aboriginal and general public throughout Alberta. CHST's priority is to provide training and prepare Aboriginals from all over Alberta for immediate employment within the Petroleum, Construction and other industries.

Additionally, we train Aboriginal, non-Aboriginal workers as well as general public in a variety of medical and safety programs. CHST also provides first aid kit/room servicing, consulting and other services.

personal development opportunities

Following successful completion of Standard First Aid with Level C CPR, the student is eligible to become an Instructor, at which point they are able to teach first aid and CPR to others on a part time or full time basis. Following successful completion of the EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) Program and Provincial testing, students are eligible for employment as entry level "medics" in the oil and gas industry. Wages for this type of employment generally start at $200-250/day and is the first step to becoming and EMT or Paramedic and a full time career in EMS.
